1.Ionic bonds

Formed when electrons transfer between a metal and a non-metal, producing charged ions that attract each other.

2.Covalent bonds

Formed when non-metal atoms share electrons. Bonds can be single, double or triple depending on shared pairs.

3.Metallic bonds

A 'sea' of delocalized electrons holds metal atoms together, giving metals conductivity and malleability.
